The men of Tennessee Kappa look forward each year to their partnership with Ijams Nature Center. We partner with Ijams to provide cleanup services for needed areas across the Nature Center. This has proven to be a great way for our members to be engaged in the surrounding Knoxville community as well as get in the woods and do some productive manual labor with each other. We thoroughly enjoy this partnership and firmly believe it is a great way for our members to give back to the local community.
Along with our philanthropic partnership, we have an annual gift drive and breakfast where members donate gifts and help serve breakfast to Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee. We encourage individual members to volunteer to be mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters, however, this event is a Christmas celebration that our members look forward to each year. Members dress up as Santa Clause and give out the donated gifts as well as serve and eat with the youths of this program. We continue to greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve this part of Knoxville's community and look forward to our continued partnership.
