Section 14: Kitchen Steward
Meal time is a key element in brotherhood development. The Kitchen Steward should have the objective of ensuring that the Tennessee Kappa meal plan is the best on campus. This is critical to ensure that membership in Tennessee Kappa is attractive to new members and is of high value to existing members.
The Kitchen Steward will:
Be the liaison between Tennessee Kappa and the catering company or chef(s).
Have the responsibility to understand meal plans and service options.
Acquire and forward to the Eminent Recorder the meal menu for each week. This menu will be posted on Sunday on the weekly calendar.
Work with the Social Chairman to organize the meals for game day brunches and parent’s/alumni weekends and events.
Not commit the chapter to any contract, whether written or verbal or otherwise, for the amount of $1,500.00 or more without specific approval of the Eminent Archon.
Record all extra meal charges to those who are not paying for food or bring friends, dates, etc. to a meal.
